Mukumu Girls Tragedy Continues As Another Student Dies In Hospital
It was yet another sad day at Mukumu Girls High School in Kakamega County after another student succumbed while in the Intensive Care Unit where she was undergoing treatment.
Her death was confirmed by Kakamega County Health Executive Bernard Wesonga.
The death brings the total number to three of students who have died of a disease suspected to be food and water poisoning.
Over 500 students from Mukumu Girls are suspected to have been infected as a result of the alleged intoxicated water and food material
The School Principal in a letter to parents appeared to downplay the extent of the tragedy after she blamed the media for creating a toxic environment over the matter.
