Police On Spot For Siding With Robbers To Terrorize Locals

Police in Namaliga East, Bombo during the search to crack down notorious criminal gangs have arrested three men suspected of terrorizing residents.

 

Ronald Nsaba, 20, one of the gang members was arrested two days after he had shifted to Kitoola in Bombo Town Council. Residents were tipped off by close sources about the stolen property from one of his operations that he had hidden in his new rented house.

 

Locals from the nearby village then followed him to his new residence and nabbed him red handed with stolen items like boutique hangers, women’s salon hair pieces, army uniforms and shoes, gadgets used to break padlocks among others.

 

Police that came to search through Nsamba’s household items discovered two yellow prison uniforms, confirming that he had just escaped from prison.

 

According to the Namaliga Central village councilor, Siraje Ahmed Kato, Nsamba was suspected to have collaborated with a gang of serial thugs that has been breaking into houses and terrorizing people from different villages of Bombo and surroundings.

 

Nsamba, who was handcuffed, led the police to where the rest of the members were residing and Hassan Musa and Mutabazi Bashir were pulled out of hiding. Upon search, police discovered more army uniforms, sticks of weed and fake dollar notes amounting to 10,000.

 

The group is accused of attacking residents in the night, breaking into houses with master keys and killing people.

 

In their defense, the gang members denied the robbery allegations and revealed that the items found in their home were used in music video shoots.
