Vihiga Bullets Skip FKF Match Due To Financial Constraints
It was a sad day for the struggling Vihiga Bullets after the team failed to honour FKF match at Bukhungu Stadium due to financial constraints and automatically handed a walk over to Nzoia Sugar.
Nzoia who sat for several minutes while waiting for their opponent were eventually awarded 3 points and 2 goals as per the FKF rules of failing to honour a match.
For the past months, the Vihiga based club has been finding it tough due to financial difficulties forcing different stakeholders and politicians to bail them out. Bullets are currently at the bottom of the table and are technically relegated.
With the free points, Nzoia are now 4th with 38 points.
Elsewhere in Mbaraki stadium, Host Bandari FC hammered Ulinzi stars 5-0 while Tusker’s Late strike earned them the Maximum point. Gor Mahia settled for a barren draw so was the result of Wazito FC against Police Fc.
Mathare United came two goals down to beat Talanta 3-2 while Kariobangi Sharks collected three points after winning against Bidco United.
