Yvonne Okwara Speaks On Rumours Of Quitting Citizen TV


After being appointed chair for Enactus Kenya, social media users have been heard spreading rumors alleging media personality’s exit from Royal Media Services (RMS).

 

Award winning journalist Yvonne Okwara was on Monday appointed by an international organization Enactus Kenya as the new chair after serving as a member for over three years.

 

However, after posting on her Twitter page on Monday evening concerning her appointment, the revered Citizen Tv News Gang journalist has been alleged by fans to have got a plan of exiting RMS.

 

Following the rumours, the media personality has posted to her Facebook page clarifying about her stay at Citizen Tv’s newsroom.

 

Oh and I’m still a journalist and serving in my current role, so you’ll still see me on TV! I intend to use my strengths, networks and platform to advance the work we’ve already been doing across the country! So help me God!” Yvonne clarifies. 

 

Further, Ms Okwara has made an  official appreciation in honour of her appointment by genuinely admitting to work with the International Non Governmental Organization by ensuring it achieves it’s goals and fulfills it’s mission.

 

I’m honoured to announce my appointment as Chair of the Enactus Kenya Advisory Council. Enactus partners with 33 universities , both public and private, and has impacted the lives of over 7000 graduates.

 

“It is now my greatest honour and responsibility to chair the council and reinvigorate it following the slump in activities during the COVID 19 pandemic” says Ms Okwara.

 

Before her appointment with the organization, Yvonne had been working with the firm since 2017 as a legal advisory member to help in empowering the young people through innovation and market connection.
