Kisumu Demonstrators Refuse To Take Nyamasaria Route
Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o faced a rough time trying to lead demonstrators to Nyamasaria.
The Governor who was careful not to have any property in the CBD destroyed urged the protesters to take Nyamasria route as he head the Azimio demos together with his deputy Mathews Owili today.
“Recently I was in England to sign Sh. 3 billion investment projects, please let’s us not destroy what we have,” he pleaded with the demonstrators.
The demonstrators who pelted stones at the Governor accused him of undermining their right to peacefully demonstrate questioning why the Governor was leading them to a village.
“Nyamasaria is a village, why is Nyong’o leading us there,” said a demonstrator.
The Governor is headed to Nyamasaria with a few people as majority made their way to Kisumu CBD.
