Man Cuts Off His Genitals To Appease Voices

Kisule Mohammed, a 28 year old man in Nakinyugizi, Central Kampala left revelers in shock after he chopped off his genitals for a yet to be identified reason.
Eyewitnesses state that they saw the blood soaked Kisule walking around carelessly before he fell on the ground. Upon intervention, they realized that he had completely slashed off his manhood and left them at his home.
“He fell on the ground as he was oozing a lot of blood. When we asked him, he told us he had cut off his penis. He says a strange spirit was commanding him to cut it off.” A neighbor said.
Kisule who was losing his energy revealed to the onlookers that he heard the strange voices at 1 AM in the morning ordering him to cut off his manhood and place them in the basin under his bed, something he went through with.
“He says he was possessed by a spirit that pushed him to cut it off and put it under the bed. He got a knife and went ahead to do as he was allegedly commanded.’ A witness said.
It is claimed that Kisule’s act of self-harm comes second in his family after his elder brother passed on after doing the same exact thing.
“We called his family and when they came around, I talked to one of them who told me that his elder brother also cut off his penis and he died as he was being taken to hospital.” The witness further noted.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango revealed that Kisule had been taken for treatment by police at Mulago Referral Hospital.
‘He has been taken to Mulago for treatment after he gets better, we will have our policemen question him on this act of self-harm and what prompted him to do what he did.” He said.
