President William Ruto has once again given Kenyans hope if his latest promise will be implemented.

Speaking at KICC during the re-launch of the Women Enterprise Fund  today, March 2,  the head of state promised that the price of a 6 Kilogram gas will reduce from the current Ksh,2500-2800 to Ksh. 300-500.

“Tutaweka pesa ya serikali kupunguza gharama ya mtungi ya gas. Ile ya kilo sita mnanunua KSh 2500- KSh 2,800 tutashukisha chini mpaka KSh 500 ama KSh 300.”

This is in line with move towards green and clean energy, as he recognizes the highest percentage of Kenyans using firewood and charcoal.

The promise made his audience shout with huge applause that cut his speech for a while.

In the same event, the President also warned those filling gases without licenses causing harm to Kenyans and loses to the country, that the Government will soon  weed them out of the market.

“Every person who is filling gas will be registered and licensed by the government of Kenya,” he said
