Ruto, Gachagua Take Stand On LGBTQ+ Matters
The supreme court ruling on LGBTQ+ community freedom of association raised eyebrows leaving Kenyans wondering if the Government Headed by His Excellency William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua are in support of the same.
“Despite gayism being illegal , they have a right of association,” read the supreme court ruling.
The Jamia Muslim Community had also earlier asked them to take a stand on the matter.
“We call upon President William Ruto to unequivocally stand against these machinations whose ultimate goal is to decriminalise homosexual relationships,” Hamid Secretary General AbdulBari Hamid said.
The doubts of whether the duo support homosexuality or not has been cleared today March 2, during the launch of the Women Enterprise Fund and the second product of the Hustler Fund at KICC.
The head of state was categorical that he is a God-fearing man who can’t allow such in the country disputing the supreme court ruling.
“Hata kama tunaheshimu korti, mila na desturi na dini haziwezi ruhusu mwanamume amuoe mwanaume na mwanamke kuoa mwenzake. Hiyo haiwezekani katika taifa letu itafanyika kwingine lakini haitafanyika Kenya”
His deputy on the other hand described the act as satanism adding that it can never be allowed in the country.
“We cannot allow LGBTQ, it is satanism.”
