Mother And Daughter Arrested For Conspiring To Murder Husband,Father
Territorial police in Amuru District are holding in custody a daughter and her mother for allegedly murdering her father and husband respectively.
It is reported that the incident happened on the evening of 24th February around 8PM around Labongo Village in Pagak Parish following a disagreement.
The deceased identified as 66 year old Nyeko Augustine. had advised his daughter Amony Concy, 28, against moving on with another man after abandoning her marriage. This was the genesis of the fight which later turned physical.
As Concy was assaulting her father, she was joined by her mother, the 50 year old housewife Laduu Santa and together they pushed down the victim to the ground where he fell and hit his head on the ground.
Augustine is reported to have died on spot and his body was recovered the next following day at around midday by a one Wokolanya Patrick who reported the case to police. The deceased’s body had been locked in the house.
Police Spokesperson SCP Enanga Fred in a media brief about the case, confirmed the arrest of both Concy and her mother Laddu who are currently under police custody and being charged with murder.
“We strongly condemn such acts of inter-familiar violence and urge families to always engage the LCs, police and respected members of the community to address their indifferences” Enanga warned.
