Bungoma Man Loses 5K In A Latrine After Winning A Bet
Bungoma man, Philip Wafula popularly known as Wafush on Wednesday morning shed tears of sadness in his neighbour’s latrine after the money he was counting on fell in a latrine hole.
Wafush a resident of Chwele, in Kabuchai Constituency had won Ksh 5,000 through betting odds in a match witnessed between Liverpool and Real Madrid but never told his wife Elizabeth Nanjala about the luck until he lost the money in a toilet.
Nanjala say, on Wednesday her husband woke up earlier rather than usual to go to the shop but came back angry and went direct to the bedroom.
When he was in the bedroom and Nanjala in the sitting room doing some house chores, she heard her husband Wafush sobbing and utter some unheard words.
“Nilisikia tu mzee yangu kwa bedroom analia pole pole akitamka maneno lakini sikusikia vizuri” Nanjala narrates.
As the case, she went closer to the bedroom door and keenly heard him cursing the toilet in line with his hard earned money.
“Niliposonga karibu, nilisikia akilaani choo ya jirani vile imemeza pesa zake” she adds.
This further prompted her to go to the bedroom and enquire from her husband Wafush what was going on.
During enquiry, Wafush increased the tone of sobbing as tears roll down his cheeks.
“Nilipoingia kwa bedroom na kumuuliza, niliona machozi yakimtoka sana” she narrates.
” Hata hako kachoo kabomoke mvua ikaangushe kabisa. Hata mtu aanguke ndani kabomolewe.
“Lakini Mungu mbona tu bahati mbaya kwa bet yangu? Nilikukosea nini?” Wafush lamented as he sobs.
According to Nanjala, Wafush had withdrawn his bet Ksh 5k but on his way home, he felt pressed and went to a neighbour’s toilet to release himself.
Upon reaching the toilet, he removed his Ksh 5,000 from the pocket but luck slipped his way after finishing his business in the toilet when he missed his pocket when keeping the money in his back pocket and fall in the hole of the toilet.
This made Wafush furious and confused keeping in mind it was his first time to win a bet of the highest amount of money since he started betting.
However, his later trial to approach his neighbour to seek help so that he can get tools and vandalize the toilet to get his money fall into deaf ears because of his misdeeds to the neighbour.
The neighbour allege he could have let Wafush get his money by falling down his toilet but his behavior of ever insulting him after sipping some Busaa is unforgivable.
