NTV Loses Its You Tube Channel With Over 2.1M Subscribers

NTV Kenya on 13th February 2023 lost its You Tube channel with over 2.1 million subscribers.

The channel which plays a vital role in digital marketing, was discovered by fans when searching for the channel and realized the channel had been pulled down by the video- sharing platform owned by Facebook.

This is the second time NTV faces big a  blow after the 2016 happening where its You Tube channel was pulled down for violating You Tube’s Community Services.

According to the NMG sources, they had received some warnings over their posts and content but later pulled down making the media lose over 2.1 million subscribers.

NTV, a media house owned by Nation Media Group, is a brother to print papers; The East African, Daily Nation, Business Daily, Taifa Leo amongst many.

In the recent reports by Media Council of Kenya, NTV was ranked second in Kenya after Citizen Tv in the number of viewers in the country.

Among the issues that may result to the suspension or pull down of a You Tube channel are sharing of sensitive content, spam, misinformation, playlist policies just to highlight but a few.

Before the pull down, the media house had uploaded more than 100,000 videos on its channel.
