Magoha’s Son Mourns Dad In A Moving Tribute
Former Education CS Prof. George Albert Omore Magoha burial ceremony was conducted at his home in Gem, Siaya County.
On the tributes offered, one was of his son Michael Magoha who gave a moving and well-spoken tribute.
Michael said his father was always available whenever he needed him.
“If I ever needed my dad he was available. It didn’t matter whether he was a surgeon or CS. That’s because he always believed in family,”
Contrary to the stony faced person that the public knew, Michael says his dad always smiled and kept it simple.
He went ahead to remember his all time advice to him
“Do what you’re supposed to do, when you’re supposed to do it “
He eulogized his dad as a worker who was focused to see the success of anything he handled.
Michael took the chance to remember some of the best moments they shared together. He recounts of one time he went to his dad troubled having few clothes yet his peers had many. At the end he realised he had two which have lasted for so long. His father then urged him to go and ask his peers why they waste money buying so many clothes.
“Ask them why they are wasting so much money buying so many clothes”
He finally urged the congregation to have their families at heart and spend time with them and everyone around them passing this advice he got from his dad.
“If somebody is standing behind you, protect them. If they are standing besides you respect them. If they are in front of you and pushing you behind, look at those besides you and behind you smile and show them your strength”
