Four Suspects Arrested With Guns Stolen From Police Station

Police in Mbale District in Uganda have arrested a 15 year old together with three others for aggravated robbery in Bunghokho police station on the 24th November, 2022.

 

It is reported that the suspects invaded the station and stole two guns and a radio call after officers left it unattended as they were watching a world cup match at around 7:30PM.

 

Elgon Region Spokesperson ASP Rogers Taitika while showing off the two guns that were retrieved, revealed that the robbers used the 15 year old child to access the stores where the guns were being kept.

 

The guns were discovered in Nabumali Town Council after the gang tried to rob a small trading center. Residents tipped off police who got there in time and arrested the criminals.

 

 

“They have been participating in a number of crimes including robberies, murder, and phone snatching,” Rogers stated.

 

The robbers are also pinned for using the same guns to murder a one Martin Masaba, a resident in Busiu, Mbale.

 

Among the four people arrested is Wakoko Emma (21), Makombe Hassan (15), Wekoye Ivan (25) were arrested and currently being kept under police custody.
