Pinterest Axes 150 Employees To Cut Cost
The San Francisco tech firm Pinterest has laid off 150 employees in the amid shake up and revolution in tech industry.
The image sharing and social media networking company launched by three tech gurus, has more than 400 Million active users.
According to Bloomberg, a media house, Pinterest has laid off 150 employees to cut cost.
The layoffs as it reports, it cuts across all its department and aims at improving services to the society.
In 2022, the firm employed around 4000 employees but in the wake of tech revolution and massive move of an open AI, ChatGPT, the firm is applying the tech use to cut costs.
Confirming the lay offs, one official staff member said that the layoffs is to adjust to some internal goals and plans the company has.
” We are on adjustments to better our services to our clients and also ensure our corporate goals are achieved” the official said.
As the latest tech industry to lay off it’s employees, recently Amazon, Twitter, Microsoft and Google laid off some of their employees for reasons ranging from; cost cutting, relocation and labour reduction.
