Pupil Allegedly Carries Panga To Behead Teacher
Just days after a video of teachers coercing pupils into indecent act in Kisii went viral, another video posted by Homabay Town MP Hon. George Peter Opondo Kaluma has emerged.
In the video, a pupil has his hands tied together with his legs as he is being flogged by the area chief , his mother and teachers.
According to reports, the boy carried a panga (machete) to go and behead a teacher. Being a village boy, the chief was promptly informed and he led an operation that captured the boy.
He was brought to school where he received thorough flogging infront of his fellow pupils as a warning not to repeat the act. Leading the flogging exercise is the chief.
Speaking Kisii Language, the boy while being flogged is asked whether he’ll carry a panga for his teachers again. He replies he won’t dare do it again… The mother also joins in the beating… The boy in his wailing mentions that his dad(tata) died ….
The video has elicited mixed reactions among netizens as some feel he deserved it while others term the flogging as an assault.
