Home » Bad News As Five Babies Born At Nakuru Level 5 Hospital Die

The mother who bore five babies yesterday at Nakuru Level 5 hospital today is having almost the worst experience of her life.

All her five babies, four girls and one boy born have died.

Nakuru Level 5 Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Aisha Maina has confirmed the death of the babies who are said to have been delivered at seven months and were put on life support at incubators weighing between 500 grams and 650 grams at birth.

‘At this birth weight, chances of survival are slim since even the internal organs are not fully developed,’ said the Superintendent.

Simon Ndung’u Kinyanjui and his wife Margaret Wairimu parents to the five babies, were met with congratulatory message from Kenyans and netizens after successful delivery of their five newborns.

Kinyanjui stated not expecting such but remained thankful to God for the gift of quintuplets

Nashukuru Mungu sana kwa kunipea hii chance kwa sababu ni wengi sana wanatafuta watoto usiku na mchana. Wengine wanaiba, wengine wanaenda kwa wachawi lakini mimi nimepewa na Mungu bure,” he said outside the hospital.

This is not the first time that a woman gives birth to quintuplets in Kenya. In April 2021, Douglas Nyaoko and Sellah Nyanchera welcomed five babies at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
