Ruto On Azimio Leaders : Wanataka Handshake
President William Ruto has told off Azimio leaders over their planned rallies and meetings which he terms as protests aiming at getting a handshake, as waste of time and as efforts that will not bear any fruit under his regime.
‘Hii ni watu wanapanga mambo ya nusu mkate, sijui wanatafuta handshake. My friends,sahau mambo ya handshake,’ he said
He further says Azimio sentiments that they want no handshake is pure lie as he knows and understands their tactics very well.
‘ Msiseme hamtaki handshake. We can see you tunawajua,’ he added
Speaking during the burial of Moses Kuria’s sister. The President also accused Azimio of being part of the mess in the country asking them to play their role well without issuing any threat as he is not somebody who can be threatened.
‘Mlikuwa na serikali mukaharibiu. bei ya Unga ikapanda. saa hii mnaongelelea bei ya unga na nyinyi you are the cause. Pangeni kazi ingine, hata upinzani ni kazi.Muendelee, mtukosoe.Tafuteni mtu mwingine wa kutisha sio mimi,’President Ruto stated
He later urged them to change their tactics as he is used to this.
‘Si hata mbadilishe tactic kidogo. Mkasema Moi hakushinda Moi akakuwa Rais, mkasema Kibaki hakushinda Kibaki akakuwa Rais, Mkasema Uhuru hakushinda akakuwa Rais.Sasa, mtawezana na hii ya hustler kweli?’he posed
