“Death ya Papa Shirandula ilinichapa vibaya. Watu husema anxiety ni ya Wazungu but mimi at that time, I experienced it hadi nilikuwa nikishinda choo yanii kuendesha nonstop na si eti kuhusu chakula nilikuwa nimekula, no. Ni anxiety that was contributing to that.” Awinja stated.
“Nilikuwa nikiangalia like nimempoteza babangu. Nilikuwa nikijiuliza maisha yangu yatakuaje. Alikuwa amenifunza, kanifanya nikaanza kujiamini hadi kwa vitu ambavyo nilijua siwezi nikavifanya. Alihakikisha kuwa ninajua kuvifanya…It was too soon since we were working together. I questioned many things at that time.” She added.
The celebrated actress revealed that she has yet to forget Papa Shirandula, her mentor in the acting industry, and she would never forget him since he left an indelible mark on her life.
