Awinja Denies Joining The Entertainment Industry As A Dancer

Awinja also revealed several things clients look for before giving one a gig/ courtesy.
Jackie Vike, popularly known as Awinja Nyamwalo, denied people’s belief that she joined the entertainment industry as a dancer.
Speaking to The Netwalking TV, the former Papa Shirandula actress denied reports she entered the entertainment industry as a dancer.
Awinja explained that she came to the limelight as an actress and later became a dancer. She recounted that she started acting while in high school.

“The different people I have met, Kuna wale wananijua from background yangu ya acting na kuna wale kama wewe(Wilbroda) ulikutana na mimi nikiwa dancer but the time ulikutana nami kama dancer, nilikuwa nishapiga set books. Actually, acting ndiyo ilikuwa ya kwanza.” Awinja explained.
Awinja also explained how she gets endorsements as a digital influencer and marketer. She revealed that endorsements are found through referrals, clients’ approaches and pitching.
“Ndipo mtu akupe endorsement, ataangalia vitu kadhaa; one, controversy. Hatakupa kazi kama brand yako ina controversy. Client huangalia, your social media presence. It’s very important. Lastly, it’s you who introduces yourself to clients.” She revealed.

The actress advised rising digital content creators, those with huge social media followings and those who aspire to be social media influencers to value their social media presence. She emphasized hard work and consistency in sharing content on their platforms as key things to win the hearts of clients.
“Kama umeanza kujibrand, be consistent with your content. Consistency ndiyo inakuweka kwa macho ya wasee.” Awinja advised content creators.
