Mike Sonko Lays Blame on Tough Economy after Car Runs Out of Fuel

Mike Sonko, a former Nairobi governor blames the tough economy after his car ran out of fuel along Kiambu Road on Sunday.
In the short clip shared online, Sonko stated that he had never imagined a day when he would be embarrassed on the way because of car fuel.
The city tycoon explained that he was walloped by the economy to the extent that he fueled his car with a jery can rather than the known fuel pump.

“Hii economy ni mbaya yaani mtu kama Sonko anaishiwa na mafuta hapa Kiambu road. Mimi naendesha gari, naishiwa na mafuta. Si unaona. Sonkore anaeka mafuta na kibuyu. Aibu? Hali ni ngumu majamaa.” He stated.
He added that although he was never ashamed, the young men he sent to buy him fuel using a jerry can feel ashamed yet the economy is tough.
In a chat with the young men he also shared that to attempt another shot in politics as Nairobi governor, he believes in God’s time.

Recently, the politician wowed netizens on social media after he adopted a young boy whose father was killed.
The flamboyant city tycoon took the boy for therapy and promised to sponsor his education up to where he would wish.
Besides that, he also took Kimani Mbugua, a former TV anchor to rehab after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
