Zari Rushes to Defend Shakib’s English Ahead of Role in Netflix’s Young, Famous & African
Uganda entrepreneur Zari Hassan has clapped back at critics questioning Shakib’s poor English ahead of Netflix’s role in Young, Famous and African.
In a short clip shared online, the entrepreneur blasted naysayers alleging Shakib could have stayed far from Netflix, citing his mastery of English is poor.
Zari explained that despite Shakib’s poor English, he was going to win and known by many across the globe. In her statement, Shakib won her, and she also bagged him.

“Oh, we cannot wait to see Shakib’s English. Let’s talk about the English… let’s talk about it! Let me tell you something; it’s been a winning season for my husband. My husband bagged me—winning season for him.
“My husband is going to be on Netflix. You, with your English, your literature, your accent, your everything; look at you! My husband is going to be on the biggest platform in the whole world—Netflix. And you are here discussing his English. See your life!” She clapped at critics.
The mother of five added that Shakib may become more famous than her after the Netflix debut, something she’s proud of and happy about.

“And from Netflix, obviously, bigger deals are coming. Who knows? My husband might even surpass me and go to Hollywood. ” She argued.
“Honey, never mind. ..ladies and gentlemen, Shakib is winning and I’m so happy for him. I’ve never loved someone so much like him and seen him become such a great person…” She added.
Further, Zari said some naysayers will start chasing Shakib after making a name on Netflix. She claimed they were criticizing him but after a win, they would be admiring him.
