“Si Msanii”: Stevo Simple Boy Turns Down Music Collaboration With Oga Obinna
Stephen Otieno, also known as Stevo Simple Boy has distanced himself from working with YouTuber Oga Obinna on a music project.
In an exclusive interview with one digital content creator, the rapper alleged Oga Obinna doesn’t know how to sing and that he’s just a comedian.
Steve Simple Boy explained that he’s faithful to Kenya’s hip-hop music genres and Oga Obinna has yet to familiarize himself with it.

The Mihadarati crooner also claimed the song Welo that Oga Obinna composed isn’t known by many. Simple Boy emphasized that he can’t collaborate with Obinna on a music project.
“Kuna collabo ilifaa utoe na Oga Obinna. Kuliandaje?” The digital content creator asked Simple Boy in an interview. “Kwani Oga ni msanii? Ushawahi kusikia WELO WELO ikichezwa mahali?” Simple Boy posed.
The rapper explained that the reason Oga Obinna is below average in the music industry is because he’s a comedian and not a musician.

“Siwezi nikafanya collabo naye. Yeye ni comedian. Wewe hata ushawahi enda YouTube ukasema acha nisikize Obinna hata kama ni dakika mbili? “ Simple Boy added.
The rapper commented that YouTuber Oga Obinna should stick to comedy and not music. “Asalie kwa comedy asiimbe. Aachane na mziki. Oga stick kwa comedy. Comedy itakupeleka mbali. Kwa mziki haupo,” he advised.
Currently, Simple Boy is working on his first international music collaboration with Tanzania artists; Chino Kidd and Mbosso.
