Nana Owiti: Kenyans Have Made Me Trend for Wrong Reasons
Kenya’s sports journalist Nana Owiti has spoken for the first time after she and King Kaka announced their breakup.
Nana Owiti and rapper King Kaka had been married for 13 years until 18th, December 2024, when the celebrated couple announced the end of their beautiful marriage which left fans in shock.
The couple said their separation happened amicably and they’d co-parent in caring for their three children.

“Over the course of 13 years, we have shared countless memories, built a life together, and most importantly raised three incredible children who will always be our top priority. “ The statement read in part.
“Our focus remains on co-parenting our children with love, stability, and respect. They are the heart of everything we do and their happiness and well-being will always come first.” They added.
In a separate interview with Silva Kido, Nana Owiti revealed that she had never gone viral in her entire life until she and King Kaka announced their breakup.

The Arsenal diehard fan referred to breakup as a bad thing that made her go viral for the first time in Kenya. “ I have never trended in Kenya but I did for the wrong reasons and I don’t like it. You guys are bad,” she said as she explained the outlook of her 2024 year.
However, she admitted amid challenges, God gave her strength and support. “It’s one of the most difficult and also the best. Probably there’s a balance… but…God is also amazing because He’s given me clarity and grace amid a storm. “ She added.
