Alex Mwakideu Denies Claims of Being Paid To Sanitise Adani Deals Among Kenyans

Alex Mwakideu has denied claims of receiving money to sanitise Adani deals among Kenyans. The journalist has said Oxygene never paid him to generate positive views on the radio over Adani.
Responding to an X user named Nelson Amenya, Mwakideu stated that Adani did not recruit him through Oxygene to sanitise their name on the radio as an influencer.
Mwakideu further stated that any person with information about him signing an influential deal with Adani to sanitise the name on the radio should publicise it.

“Ndugu, kuwa kwa WhatsApp group doesn’t mean you support an idea. Nimekuwa kwa groups hadi za political parties and some political leaders that I dont support but am there because am a journalist. 1M bado iko inakusubiri kama utaonyesha wakenya mahali nilipongeza Adani. Ahsante.” Mwakideu said.
The journalist added that Amenya should produce concrete evidence proving he signed an influential deal with Adani apart from the WhatsApp screengrab.
“Onyesha mahali nimelipwa au post nimeweka kutetea Adani, au siku nimetetea Adani kwa Radio. Sasa kukuwa kwa WhatsApp group au kutoka kwa WhatsApp group haitusaidii. Changamka mkuu.” Mwakideu added.

Amenya added that he would share the names, WhatsApp chats and the amount of money influencers received from Oxygene to spread positive reports about Adani deals.
“Alex Mwakideu has been paid by Oxygène to paint Adani in good light pale kwa mitabendi za redio. Ukisikia akiongea ni kama anajaribu kutetea Adani mjua ako mboka. I will fill you guys in on the strategy they are using in a few even on MSM.” Amenya shared.
Recently, Adani was alleged to have bought JKIA by the government to carry out its activities. Besides that, Adani was awarded a power tender in which it would be in charge of power supply across the country.
