Celebrated media personality Fathiya Mohamed Nur has secured a new job with China Global Television Network (CGTN) following her departure from Standard Group owned TV station, KTN News/collage.
Celebrated media personality Fathiya Mohamed Nur has secured a new job with China Global Television Network (CGTN) following her departure from KTN News.
Fathiya was overjoyed as she revealed what her new role at CGTN entailed. She noted that she will be the Commissioning Editor for Faces of Africa at the international media house.Through her Instagram page, the talented news anchor announced her new move to her fans. She stated that she was excited to have a new beginning at the Chinese-owned media house.

“A New beginning! #alhamdulillah! Excited to join China Global Television Network (CGTN)Africa as a Commissioning Editor for Faces of Africa! Look out for some great African storytelling coming your way,” she wrote.
On April 17, 2024, Fathiya announced her exit from KTN News after 2 years tenure. She expressed her appreciation to her former employer as she highlighted her key achievements at the station.
“Time for a brand new story! It’s been almost two years as a News Anchor at KTN News. I’m so, so proud of what I have achieved. Key highlight: Birthing my international news programme, World Report, which is now a flagship show at KTN News!
