Naibu rais Rigathi Gachagua ametangaza kuwa anapanga kumkaribisha rais William Ruto katika eneo la Mlima Kenya kabla ya ibada ya shukrani katika eneo hilo.
Wakati wa ibada ya shukrani katika uwanja wa Nanyuki leo Gachagua amesema kwamba mapokezi hayo ya kifahari yanafuata maagizo ya mila na tamaduni za Agikuyu kuhusu jinsi viongozi wanapaswa kukaribishwa katika eneo hilo.
Gachagua amesema ibada hiyo ya shukrani itatangulizwa na msafara mrefu utakaoanzia Githurai, Nairobi na kuishia katika ikulu ndogo ya Sagana iliopo chini ya Mlima Kenya.
Msafara huo kulingana na Gachagua pia utasimama Mto Chania ili kufanya maombi kabla ya kuendelea na safari.
