Betty Kyallo’s celebrated city salon is set to be auctioned by Keysian Auctioneers over rent arrears. In a notice released on Monday 8th April 2024, the salon is set to be auctioned on 17th April 2024.
It is reported the media personality had failed to pay for the rent of her salon something that made the landlord through the auctioneer’s representatives put her items on sale.
Among the items set to be put on sale include a massage bed stand, 3 dismantled wall shelves, dressing tables, a binatone microwave and 12 barber seats amongst many others.

Besides that, other items on sale are 9 CCTV cameras, a Huawei router, a Hilluck video recorder, and a door fridge. Other items have not been unveiled by the auctioneers, but buyers are called upon to visit the Keynesian Auctioneers’ offices at CPF House in Nairobi CBD and get the items.
Further, the auctioneers said interested buyers are allowed to visit their offices with cash to get the items and those willing to see the items before buying, are allowed to set a date or time before the final date set on Wednesday at 11 am.Betty on her side bowed in to let her high-end salon auctioned by alleging the landlord used to charge her exorbitantly and never agreed to reduce the rent.

“Landlords don’t want to reduce the rent and become a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown” she said.
“I let let go. I am happier. I sleep better. My peace of mind is more important than a name. I’m good” she added.
Betty Kyallo set up her Flair by Betty salon in 2020 in Nairobi along Lenana Road in which she promised netizens quality services at an affordable price.In 2023, she marked her birthday by celebrating the growth and expansion of her high-end salon.
