“Toka Uende “: Kenyans Heckle Otile Brown While Performing At Raha Fest
Kenyan Afro-star singer Jacob Obunga popularly Otile Brown was demoralized on the weekend when Kenyans heckled him while performing at Raha Fest in Nairobi.
In a video clip shared online, Otile Brown was captured on the stage performing when a section of Kenyans heckled him to the extent that he was forced to leave the stage.
In the video, Kenyans present at the event raised their hands in shouts; “toka uende! Toka uende!” which increased commotion that no one could control.

Otile Brown, on the other hand, was recorded responding to fans, “I got you” before he left the stage.
Following the heckle, the Kenyan celebrated singer is yet to respond to the heckle but a section of netizens hurt by the heckle, alleges the singer was booed because of his international artiste remarks.
In his remarks on Obinna Show, Otile said ”East Africa hakuna international Artist, sote tuko na kazi ya kufanya do tufikie akina Ruger.”

This came when he was asked about the current state of East Africa’s artists and whether they had reached an international level.
Besides that, another section of netizens alleges the heckle came following his recent troll where they alleged his performance at Chira’s burial ceremony was a way of chasing clout before the release of the song “Grace”.
Another section of Kenyans alleges that Otile is a studio artiste and not a stage artiste like Nigeria’s Afro Stars Davido, Iano and Weezkid. According to the netizens, Otile’s performance on stage was boring.

The booed on the stage at Raha Fest attracted reactions from celebrated comedians like 2mbili who came in his defence to urge Kenyans to love their own.
