Moi University Deputy Vice-Chancellor has directed students involved in an accident on the Nakuru- Nairobi Highway to return to school.

The Moi University students were going for an academic trip to Mombasa on Wednesday morning when their bus lost control and fell off the road at 10 am in Limuru.

At the time of the accident, a few students sustained minor injuries wherein none was reported dead.

One student who survived the accident told Mideyah Digital Media that he was traumatized following the accident because of the intense fear brought out after the accident.

“I’m traumatised at the moment; can it wait for some time if you don’t mind?” Oscar Otieno, a survivor told Mideyah Digital Media at the time of the interview.

According to reports, the driver was overtaking the other vehicle when the brakes allegedly developed a fault causing the bus to fall off the road.

Following the unexpected accident, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor directed the administration to cancel the academic trip and take the students back to school.

However, the survivors are still in Limuru waiting for another School bus to take them back to school.
