Recounting how she came out of her messy divorce in a short film she shared online, Bernice Saron said if it were not for her family members, she would have died and forgotten.

US-based Kenyan music promoter, Bernice Saroni has recounted how divorce took a toll on her psychology and mental health at large.

Recounting how she came out of her messy divorce in a short film she shared online, Bernice Saroni said if it were not for her family members, she would have died and forgotten.

“If it were not for my family’s support and Love I’d be dead and forgotten, divorce is very dirty and messy,” Saroni said.

Saroni added that when undergoing the divorce, she tried to speak out to avoid death by suicide which had started to take space in her head.

Saroni added that when undergoing the divorce pain, she tried to speak out to avoid death by suicide which had started to take space in her head.

However, those who were close to her helped her to heal by enabling her to relocate to the US.

“When I decided that I was going to relocate to the US after the separation with the father of my children, I wanted peace, and at that point, I just wanted to exit” she revealed.

The mother of four added that when relocating to the US, she left behind her children so that she could put things in place before picking them up.

Following what she went through after her messy divorce, she advised netizens to seek pieces of advice to escape mental trauma.

Divorce is very messy and nobody is ever prepared for it. It has put a lot of women into grave, depression, suicide and others to medication. When it comes, just know that it is like a grave but don’t lose yourself in the process.

“Remember there was Bernice before this man, there was  Bernice before the children. Choose yourself so that you will be able to take care of your children. Accept, ikikataa imekataa, ukiachwa achika,” she advised.
