Actress Awinja Brings Western Kenya To Standstill As She Screens Her Film Disco Matanga In Her Village

Popular Kenyan actress Jacky Vike alias Awinja has impressed the world after premiering the seventh episode of her online drama series Disco Matanga.

The thespian who has six other previous episodes of her smash series recently chose to celebrate her success and glory with her people in the village.

Following the success of Disco Matanga Episode 7 on YouTube, the lass thought it wise to screen the latest episode of her series at his village home in Vihiga.

The actress broke the bank to ensure the venue had a nice big screen and seats for guests and her people in the village.

And true to her expectations, the outdoor venue was filled to capacity, a move that clearly showed she is cherished and loved dearly by her own people.

An excited Awinja could not hold back her joy as she took to social media to thank her village people, guests and partners for their immense support in the whole project.

In a series of Instagram posts seen by Mideyah Digital, the actress posted photos and videos of people enjoying the series screening and even dancing joyfully prior and after the event.

“Mudungu village was nothing but a Movie!😁 They loooooved every bit of #DiscoMatanga and to see them happy that they were part of it, them happy to point out their neighbours and families in the series, them happy to relate to the stories in the show it was nothing but pure satisfaction!

Present at the screening were invited guests and the series cast including Eddie Butita.

Kenyans have in the recent past been lauding Awinja for producing her popular series which has been doing exemplarily well on digital media.

The first six episodes were a total success with each garnering over 200,000 views in a matter of hours.

She is among the few Kenyan female content creators to date and actually deliver as far as film production is concerned.
