The Kenyan music scene is filled with massive talented artists, only that not many people have taken the time to sample their products.
From downtown, Mombasa all the way to the horn of the country, North Eastern, more and more artists have been proving that they have all it takes to take over the industry.
However, the creatives have been failed by music lovers who ignore them for clout chasers who thrive with nothing but just that; Clout.

Below is a list of seven Kenyan artists who are extremely talented, just that they have never been given the leeway to shine.
1. Jovial Kenya
You can never talk about melodious top East African songstresses without mentioning Jovial.
Not only is the songstress blessed with soulful vocals but also the skills to capture her listeners’ attention with her well-crafted lyrics.
Any collaboration she is included in will most definitely be a hit song.

2. Willie Oeba
If there is any top spoken word master in Kenya, then Nakuru-based poet Willie Oeba must be the one.
His mastery of wordplay fused with his ability to talk about pertinent issues in his songs are his strengths.
Willie Oeba has been in the game for almost a decade but Kenyans have not really given him a chance to show them and the world what he has to offer.

3. Adasa
Coast-based vocalist Adasa may be fairly new in the game but she has proven that she is a force to reckon with as far as vocal prowess is concerned.
The singer has a couple of hit songs which have been moving the masses, especially in Mombasa.
However, the countrywide fanbase is yet to recognise her ability and duly appreciate the same.

4. Alpha Mwana Mtule
Save for the recent ”baby mama” drama, Alpha Mwana Mtule is one heck of a talented chap who could take over the music industry should Kenyans and other music lovers give him their ears.
Alpha may be heavy on gospel but he has been killing it with other genres, especially inspirational songs.

5. Kushman
For those still in the dark, Kushman is a Kenyan Genge artist who always gives his fans and music enthusiasts relatable music.
He is famed for hit songs such as Pedi wa Magenge.
Given a chance to be heard on mainstream media, Kushman can most definitely represent the country well in the much-competitive world music industry.

6. Steph Kapela
Clearly, Hip Hop does not have a massive fanbase and following in Kenya but rappers like Steph Kapela have ensured the genre stays alive in the country.
The rapper has countless hit songs under his belt but they have not earned him a spot at the top.
