Dr King’ori Makes Major Comeback After Ditching NTV

Former NTV presenter Dr King’ori’s fans have every reason to celebrate after the popular host made a comeback on air, albeit on the music and video streaming platform YouTube.

The witty man announced his comeback online with the release of the latest edition, rather episode of his viral show The Wicked Edition on YouTube.

King’ori and his team uploaded their new episode dubbed “A General’s Perspective Of War With Ambassador Brigadier General Dr Wallace Williams,” on Wednesday, February 21.

Mideyah Digital understands the TV host published the video on The Wicked Edition With Dr King’ori barely a month after pulling it out of NTV where it had aired for close to a decade.

Looking at the setup, the script and almost everything, King’ori and his team somewhat switched things up a bit.

The location and the general feel of the show are way different from how it used to air on NTV, a clear indication that the team has decided to go big.

The TV host’s comeback impressed countless of his fans who took to the comments section of the YouTube video and King’ori’s social media post promoting the same to congratulate and welcome him back on air.

His comeback comes about a month after announcing his exit from NTV.

Mideyah Digital earlier reported that the witty TV host broke the news of his exit to fans and Kenyans through his social media pages on the evening of Friday, January 12.

In a Facebook post sighted by Mideyah Digital Media, Dr King’ori disclosed the Wicked Edition will be airing its last episode on NTV on Friday, January 12.

“Welcome to the last edition of Wicked Edition on NTV Kenya airing tonight(7.30 pm) Friday, the 12th of January. It has been 7 transformative years and over 300 unforgettable episodes on TV and over 70 million views on YouTube making ”The Wicked Edition” the longest-running satire show on Kenyan television.” He wrote.

The comedian did not disclose the reason behind the sudden end but assured fans that the show will be back, bigger and better, albeit on a different platform.

“The journey, while ending on NTV Kenya is set for a new beginning as we expand our reach, venture into creative endeavours and continue delivering value-laden content to our fans across East Africa and beyond.” Dr King’ori revealed.

He thanked his fans for making his show one of the best in the country without forgetting NTV and the entire team for always supporting him.

His announcement broke the hearts of his fans who thronged the comments sections of his posts to plead with him to remain at NTV but clearly, he had made up his mind about leaving.
