Dr King’ori Exits NTV After 7 Years Stint
Comedian and TV show host Dr King’ori has announced his exit from Kimathi street-based TV station, NTV.
The witty TV host broke the news to his fans and Kenyans through his social media pages on the evening of Friday, January 12.
In a Facebook post sighted by Mideyah Digital Media, Dr King’ori disclosed the Wicked Edition will be airing its last episode on NTV on Friday, January 12.

It Is A Wrap For Wicked Edition
“Welcome to the last edition of Wicked Edition on NTV Kenya airing tonight(7.30 pm) Friday, the 12th of January. It has been 7 transformative years and over 300 unforgettable episodes on TV and over 70 million views on YouTube making ”The Wicked Edition” the longest-running satire show on Kenyan television.” He wrote.
The comedian did not disclose the reason behind the sudden end but assured fans that the show will be back, bigger and better, albeit on a different platform.
“The journey, while ending on NTV Kenya is set for a new beginning as we expand our reach, venture into creative endeavours and continue delivering value-laden content to our fans across East Africa and beyond.” Dr King’ori revealed.

Appreciation To Fans
He thanked his fans for making his show one of the best in the country without forgetting NTV and the entire team for always supporting him.
“Since its inception, The Wicked Edition has grown to be the satire show par excellence in Kenya. This is thanks to the unwavering support from you, our beloved viewer. Your patronage propelled us to great heights, earning us recognition at the prestigious Kalasha Awards and a nomination for the best performance in TV comedy and the best TV Comedy in Kenya for the upcoming 2024 edition.” He added.
His announcement broke the hearts of his fans who thronged the comments sections of his posts to plead with him to remain at NTV.
