Catherine Kamau, also known as Kate Actress, has addressed speculations regarding how fast she moved on following her separation from ex-husband Philip Karanja, alias Phil Director.
Netizens raised concerns after Kamau shared romantic snapshots from her Dubai vacation with her current partner, Michael Mwangi, the General Manager of Tribe Hotel. Some questioned the quick transition from her previous relationship to the newfound romance.
However, Kamau dismissed claims of haste in moving on, revealing that her relationship with Michael Mwangi had been ongoing, albeit discreetly known only to her inner circle.

Addressing another concerned netizen, Kamau clarified that she wasn’t actively seeking a relationship following her divorce, emphasizing that her current partner simply came into her life unexpectedly.
“Mnatoa wapi boyfriends haraka hivi?” Lady Mathai asked Kate Actress.
“We are not looking they find us,” Kate Actress replied.
Catherine Kamau and Michael Mwangi had been seen together publicly for some time before she officially introduced him on her Instagram account on February 11, 2024.

The couple had attended various events together, including comedian Terence Creative’s Wash Wash 4 movie premiere and a Sol Fest event in November 2023.
Divorce: Catherine Kamau ended her marriage with Philip Karanja in 2023 after five years together. The former couple issued a joint statement on September 19, 2023, announcing their separation and urging privacy for themselves and their children.
Kamau and Karanja tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club on November 18, 2017.
