The reflector jackets issued is in line with this years Men’s Conference theme which is Men and Safety. The theme is derived from the huge number of men, boda boda riders, who lose their lives on the roads due to accidents. He therefore will launch a reflector jacket campaign today in Uhuru park where they target to give riders the essential outfit in bid to promote safety.
“Last year alone, we lost over 3,500 people on the road with boda boda riders being majority of the deaths and causes of the accidents. In this regard, we intend to use this year’s Men’s conference to engage in field work where we shall be issuing reflector jackets to the riders for safety of our riders who are 99% men,”reads Men’s Conference notice to cops
