Eddie Butita Confirms Working On Series Inspired By Jowie, Jacque Maribe And Monica Kimani’s Case

Some members of the creatives’ world have taken advantage of the opportunity to create a wonderful masterpiece following the conclusion of Monica Kimani’s murder case.
The case which has been in court for close to four years now came to an end on Friday, February 9, after The High Court found the main suspect Jowie Irungu guilty of the murder.
On the flip side, the court acquitted former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe.

Well, following the court ruling, various creators including Eddie Butita came out to disclose that they have been working on different creative works inspired by the case.
The revered scriptwriter, through his official Twitter account, informed the public that he has been working on a script inspired by Jacque Maribe, Monica Kimani and Jowie Irungu’s case.
According to the star, the court case was what was holding him and his team back from actualising, rather, bringing the script to life.
Butita noted that it is now all systems go on his side since the court had given out its ruling on the case.
“I have been working on a great script inspired by Jacque and Jowie’s case, finally, judgement is out, now let us tell the story. Script mode activated.” He tweeted.

His tweet impressed hundreds of his fans who camped in the comments section to laud him with quite a number begging him to cast them in the upcoming film.
Many encouraged him to go forth with the idea, holding that the story could make one hell of a romance and crime series.
Of importance to note is the fact that Eddie Butita is one of Kenya’s greatest scriptwriters and comedians who have played an integral part in the production of countless local and international film projects.
