Michael Olunga, a Kenyan soccer star has wowed the souls of netizens after sponsoring over 25 needy students joining Form 1. Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA), admitted over 25 students to Form 1 in various high schools around the Nyanza region through his foundation.
The legendary soccer star’s social media and his foundation shared various information concerning needy students who are under 15 years old to nurture talents through football and education.

Born in Homabay County, he’s a professional engineer playing in Qatar for Al Duhail SC as a forward where he has amassed fame not only in Kenya and Qatar but also in the global world of soccer.Through his foundation MOFA, he admitted 10 under 15 boys in Kisumu Day $ Boarding High School, and 13 under 15 boys in St. Mary’s Yala, Siaya County.Further, the engineer sponsored other 5 under-15 boys in St. Joseph’s School Rapogi. The 28 talented boys from needy families will school under his foundation till they fulfil their dreams.
Recently, the Harambee Stars forward was voted in as the 20th-best player in the Asian continent in 2023. This attracted the attention of Kenyans who took to social media to celebrate him.Being ranked as the 20th-best soccer star together with renowned soccer legendaries in the Asian continent like Cristiano Ronaldo was not a walk in the park.
