Mzabibu singer Zablon Ndale has broken his silence over his viral song Mzabibu which he released over five years ago. Speaking on MO Radio, the preacher said despite the trend of the song, there’s one thing he ain’t happy with.

The Mombasa-based gospel artist released his song Mzabibu in 2014 and featured in his second album; claimed its trend has come unexpectedly in what he calls by God’s grace.

The singer who doubles as a songwriter and security officer in Mombasa, revealed that the time he released the song, he never expected it would either take years to trend or a short period to reach many listeners.

The singer further added that he came to realise the trend of Mzabibu two months ago but in January, it hit the media airwaves to the national level.

On TikTok, Kenyans have shared different dance challenges on the Mzabibu gospel song until Charlene Ruto, the president’s daughter was filmed dancing to the challenge.

Contrary to what the song falls under and message driven out; Mr Zablon Ndale said most people are making secular dances over the song forgetting it’s a religious song and not secular.

However, he promised to release a modern video of the song to let the public know the song is gospel and not secular. According to his sentiments, the song is an excerpt from the bible where he got lines from John 15 and 16.

He claimed Mzabibu denotes a tree planted on productive land and is expected to bear good fruits. Christians should emulate the teachings of biblical Jesus.

“Nikitoa video take mtaona vile itakuwa smart.” The singer promised. Moreover, despite promising to release the video, he requested well-wishers to come for his aid and support him financially to release the video.

Additionally, he urged Netizens to invite him to their gospel events by also extending his hand of gratitude to thank Kenyans for recognising his song and making it a trend.
