Eliud Kipchoge From Milk Vendor to Greatest Marathoner of All Time; List of Properties He Owns
Eliud Kipchoge is a Kenyan long-distance runner who boasts of four out of five fastest marathons in history. The 39-year-old is regarded as the greatest marathoner of all time, having won 16 out of 18 marathons he has competed in. Kipchoge started running as a teenager under the guidance of his long-term coach and mentor Patrick Sang.
The great athlete was born in Kapsisiywa, Nandi County in Rift Valley. He was raised by a single mother as his dad passed away when he was too young and only saw his father from dusty old photographs. Kipchoge told World Athletics Organization, “I never knew my father. I don’t remember seeing him. He died when I was very young,”

The Greatest Marathoner of All Time recalled how he used walking and cycling from Kapsisiywa to Kapsabet town to sell milk at the local market to help his single mother to make ends meet. Kipchoge also used to run a distance of 6 kilometers to school daily, and that’s how his journey to becoming a professional marathoner began.
Despite his humble beginnings, Kipchoge rose to become one of the Greatest athletes in the world history as he made history after becoming the first man to run 42km under 2 hours in the INEOS 1:59 Challenge on 12th October 2019 in Vienna, Austria.
The event was sponsored by British Billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe who is the CEO of INEOS and minority owner of Manchester United.

1. KAPSISIYWA TEA FARM
Kipchoge owns a team farm in his rural area Kapsisiywa in Nandi County. On September 1, 2021, he shared a photo in his tea farm which its size is unknown, but it is estimated to be several acres.
2. ISUZU CARS
Kipchoge was awarded a brand-new Isuzu D-Max single cab pick-up valued at Ksh. 4.1 million after his victory in the INEOS 1:59 challenge in October 2019. As the Isuzu D-Max brand ambassador, he was gifted with a similar car in 2018 after his Berlin Marathon victory.
3.ELGON VIEW MANSION IN ELDORET
Having won numerous marathons, Kipchoge has bagged millions of money in terms of rewards. With his net worth Kipchoge lives in a luxurious mansion at Elgon View in Eldoret Town among the posh residential areas in the town. The house is located 30km away from the training camp where he spends most of his time.
4. KIPCHOGE FOUNDATION
On September 9, 2021, Kipchoge launched the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation. Through the foundation, Kipchoge hopes to give all children in the world access to knowledge and education.
5. KIPCHOGE LIBRARY
Former president Uhuru Kenyatta authorized the construction of a Ksh. 100 million library in honour of Eliud Kipchoge. He officially opened it on August 8, 2022. The library is located at Kapsisiywa Primary School, where he studied.
