Revealed! The Player Kevin De Bruyne Grew Up Idolizing and Club He Dreamt of Playing

Kevin De Bruyne who captains both Manchester City and Belgium national teams has let his football idol and the club he dreamt of playing while growing up. The Belgian midfielder has been off the field since August after limping off after just 33 minutes in the opening match of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
From an old video of Kevin De Bruyne seen by Mideyah Digital Media sports desk, the veteran midfielder was seen mentioning his favorite player and the club he wished to play.
De Bruyne began his football career at his native country Belgium at KAA Gent club before moving KRC Genk.

De Bruyne moved to Chelsea in 2012 from KRC Genk before being loaned out to the Belgian club for the whole season, after returning from Genk, he was loaned again to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg before the club decided to turn his stay permanent for €15m.
Manchester City came hunting for his services just 6 months after he was signed on a permanent contract where they signed him in the summer of 2015 for €45m.

In the video, the younger De Bruyne is seen saying his idol was Liverpool legend Michael Owen and the club he yearned to play for was Liverpool though his dream of playing is yet to actualize for the 32-year-old midfielder.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the Belgium international as seen when he returned from long-time injury, the German manager said “The whole country is starting to shake” referring to De Bruyne’s return.
