Police Puts Ksh 831K Cash Prize For Information Behind Attempt On City Pastor’s Life.
The Special Investigations Division (SID), of CID Headquarters in Kibuli, has taken over investigations into the alleged shooting at renowned city pastor, Aloysius Bujingo that claimed the life of his body guard, Muhumuza Richard on the 2nd January 2024.
The shooting occurred at around 10pm, at Bawalakata zone, in Namungoona parish, Kawempe division and since then, social media has been awash with controversial stories with some netizens alleging that the incident was planned.

The Uganda police spokesperson SCP Enanga Fred has expressed his disappointment in the allegations from the ‘propagandists’, labelling them as ‘absurd’.
‘So many people, including families who lost their loved ones under similar tragic circumstances, are hurt by the fringe beliefs of the bloggers, the majority of whom are based in UAE, Turkey, and Boston,’ Enanga said.
Although part of the police findings about the case were leaked to the media through informal sources, Enanga assured the members of the public that the competent team that was put on the case is actively investigating the matter to come up with an answer.
“They are continuing to obtain witness statements, retrieved post mortem reports, CCTV, forensic and ballistic reports, for further evaluation and flow of investigations,” he added.

Enanga further appealed to whoever, has any information that may lead to the identify and arrest of the suspects, as well as the recovery of the pistol that was used in the murder to pass it on to the CID headquarters in Kibuli or ring the task team on telephone contact 0741111333.
“A substantial cash reward of Ugx 20M (Ksh.831,000), shillings only, awaits any member of the public who avails us credible information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of the killer weapon,” he concluded as be promised to avail a progressive report about the matter in due course.
