Nigeria Suffers Big Blow Ahead of 2023 AFCON

The Nigeria men’s national team which is commonly known as the Super Eagles have suffered a big setback as they are heading for this year’s AFCON tournament scheduled to commence this weekend on Saturday 13th until 11th February, 2024 in Ivory Coast.
The Super Eagles played a Pre-AFCON friendly against Equatorial Guinea for preparation of the highly anticipated AFCON tournament.
In this friendly that was played yesterday, Nigeria suffered two setbacks as they lost 2-0 in the hands of Equatorial Guinea while their forward Victor Boniface who plays Bundesliga sustained a groin injury while in training.

This injury means that their goal poacher will definitely miss this year’s AFCON tournament as Nigeria remains with Napoli Striker Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Ahmed Mussa, Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon and Sadiq Umar.
