Chelsea Women Suffer A Major Blow

Sam Kerr is ruled out for the rest of the season

Chelsea Women club suffers a major setback as their Australian forward Sam Kerr is ruled out for the rest of the season after she she sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury while on a training camp in Morocco with Chelsea last weekend.

The 30-year-old striker has scored 4 goals and assisted another 3 after 8 appearances for the Blues in WSL.  Kerr has scored 58 goals from 75 WSL appearances since she joined.

Which means she has netted 20 times more than Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema and Manchester City’s current top scorer Khadija Shaw in that period though she has played more minutes than the two.
