Family Dismisses Death Rumours Of Veteran Reggae Artist Cocoa Tea
Cocoa Tea’s family has debunked social media rumours alleging that veteran Jamaican reggae artist and songwriter is dead.
Born Colvin Scott, his family has told one media house based in Jamaica that the legendary singer is alive and kicking.
Besides clearing the air, Malvia; Cocoa Tea’s wife has requested fans to pray for the legendary singer who’s under medication.

“Yes, Cocoa Tea is in hospital, but he is very much alive,” Malvia Scott, Cocoa Tea’s wife told one Jamaican media outlet.
“As a family, we are asking everybody for prayers and also privacy at this time,” Malvia Scott added.
Further, Malvia didn’t disclose more about the ailments her husband is suffering from but it’s known the singer has been battling throat cancer for almost five years.

Speculations concerning the Holy Mount Zion singer’s death started last year October to early December and end of December.
On Wednesday and Thursday early January 2024; fake news spread on social media alleging that Cocoa Tea is dead.
The family’s information has come at a time when fake information was taking roots and imbibing tense to close persons where it’s reported the singer is under medication in Florida, USA.

Cocoa Tea as a songwriter, is remembered for many hit songs including Barack Obama which he released in 2008 in favour of retired US President Barack Obama.
