Pastor Kills Pregnant Wife Over Infidelity

Police in Namisindwa District have arrested a 48-year-old pastor for brutally murdering his pregnant wife during a domestic brawl.

The suspect is a resident of Malukhu Village, Bukhabusi Sub-county and a pastor at Christ Church in the same area. According to police reports and facts gathered from the neighbors revealed that the couple had on different occasions had fights with the clergyman accusing his now dead wife identified as Mandala Agnes of having extra marital affairs with a man in the same neighborhood.

Rogers Taitika, the police spokesperson for Elgon Region confirmed the murder and revealed that the body of the deceased was recovered near a deep water stream in the district.

“…She was killed and there were wounds seen on the surface of the spleen,” Taitika revealed.

When the police K-9 dog was brought at the scene, it led the police to the suspect’s home, prompting his arrest to help in the investigation and solving the case.

Upon thorough investigation at the suspect’s home, personal property belonging to the deceased were discovered including her mobile phone.

The couple was not legally married but they were staying together. Post Mortem reports on the deceased’s body revealed she was 22 weeks pregnant.

Taitika condemned the increasing number of domestic violence cases and urged couples to stop using violence as a way of resolving disputes.
