Climax Bus Mistreats Its Passengers, Leaves One Injured

A Climax bus (KCW 029R) left its passengers frustrated and angry after spending several hours at Kisumu stage.
The bus which had some passengers on was to leave for Nairobi after being full, had an anger-awakening announcement at around 10:30 a.m. that left a section of passengers who were on board as early as 6:00 a.m. demanding their money back.
According to one of the ‘Climax Bus officials’ responsible for handing tickets to passengers, the bus had an issue and thus everyone had to be transferred to other vehicles.

Passengers hurriedly alighted to scramble for the few slots (20) in the first bus that did not belong to Climax Coaches.
The remaining passengers had to stand near the bus with the undisclosed issue, just in front of Climax Bus Kisumu Office, waiting for a bus promised by ‘officials’ who were hurling insults at irate passengers demanding a refund.
After about 30 minutes, a Crane Coach bus approached, and they were told to line up and board.
Standing where they were instructed to, the Crane Coach bus ran over one passenger’s leg leaving her bleeding profusely.
As reported to Mideya Digital by one of the passengers, the Climax Bus officials never felt sorry nor politely addressed the passengers who felt mistreated by the renowned bus company but rather stayed rude.
“Nimekuwa hapa kutoka saa mbili, tukaambiwa gari ishajaa inatoka. Kufika saa nne, tunaambiwa iko na shida eti twende kwa gari ingine.” a stranded passenger said.

“Halafu wanatutukana ni kama tulipanda hiyo gari bila kulipa. Kama gari ni mbaya walijua, mbona wakaipanga watupotezee wakati?”
“Kuna mama fulani ameumia hapa. Amekanyagwa na hii gari tunapanda. Wangepanga gari mzuri tukose kushushwa, huyo mama hangekanyagwa mguu hivo? Climax wawe watu wazuri, kama gari ni mbaya wasipotezee Abiria wakati” One passenger cried out.
This is not the first time passengers have had an issue with Climax Bus.
On December 24, 2023, passengers headed to Kakamega from Nairobi lamented being left stranded from 10:00p.m to around midday the next day after their bus developed a mechanical issue.
