Senegal Head coach Aliou Cisse Has Gone 6 Months Unpaid ahead of 2023 AFCON

The Senegal Men’s national team manager Aliou Cisse is said to have gone several months without a single coin deposited to his account.
This report comes ahead of this year’s AFCON tournament scheduled to kick off this January 13th at Cote d’Ivoire.
Aliou Cisse owes the country’s FA a total of €180,000 which is the same as Ksh. 31,156,200 for over 6 months and the situation is the same for his technical staff this is according to Sports News Africa blog.
According to Aliou Cissé’s contract, the veteran is to be paid €30,000 every month same as Ksh. 5,194,200.
However, the Senegal Football Association is working to sort out the unpaid salaries of the coach and his technical staff before the start of the 2023 AFCON.

The Senegalese legend led the national team commonly known as ‘The Lions of Teranga’ to win their first-ever AFCON trophy in 2021 held in Cameroon after defeating Egypt on post-match penalties.
Cisse also led Senegal to qualify for the round of 16 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar where the Lions of Teranga were knocked out after suffering a 3-0 loss over England.

Senegal is scheduled to kick off the campaign to defend their trophy against Gambia on Monday 15th January where they will also face Cameroon and Guinea in Group C.
