Lady Arraigned In Court For Stealing Employer’s Range Rover

A Kenyan lady, Joy Krwithia Kaaria has been arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts for stealing a Range Rover Evoque valued KSh 3.2 million belonging to her employer, Revere Technologies Limited.
Ms Joy, who was presented before Milimani Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate Ms. Dolphine Alego, is said to have allegedly stolen her employer’s Range Rover on September 30, 2023.
The court heard that Ms. Joy stole the fuel guzzler from Crescent Business Center, in Nairobi County.

According to court documents seen by Mideyah Digital media, the vehicle of registration number KCX 783E was repossessed while in Ms. Joy’s possession.
This publication understands that the Range Rover had been in Ms Joy’s possession by virtue of her employment at Revere Technologies Limited.
Ms Joy, however, denied the charges.

The lady’s lawyer sought lenient bond terms, holding that the court should consider the fact that she is a mother, whose care and responsibility are required by her family.
Ms Joy’s lawyer submitted that she had been relieved of her duties at Revere Technologies Limited in September 2023 and had not received her dues, as per her contract.
Mideyah Digital has learnt Senior Principal Magistrate Ms. Alego granted Ms. Joy a bond of KSh 500,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
The Senior Magistrate, alternatively, gave Ms Joy and of depositing a cash bail of KSh 100,000 with two contact persons.
The case will be mentioned again on January 16, 2024, for pre-trial directions.
