Tenant Kills Landlady, Hides Body In His House
Police are on a hunt for a tenant who killed his landlady and locked the dead body in his rental room.
The suspect now on the run was identified as Musinguzi Owen, a resident of Prison Zone, Mpigi District strangled Nantume Daphine 37, to death.
According to reports, the deceased didn’t come back home to see his children for the whole day, raising suspicion and prompting the husband God Mubiru with the help of the neighbors to launch the search.

“We searched the whole night and surprisingly, the killer searched with us and he was the one insisting we call on her phone. He did this knowing that he had switched it off,” Mubiru said.
When the search turned out fruitless, the residents informed police, only to receive a call from Musinguzi telling them about what he has done.
“He called new telling me about the dead body in his room. He said things went sour and he couldn’t control himself,” a relative who got the news revealed.

Majid Karim, the Katonga Region police spokesman revealed that investigations into the matter were underway. The body of the deceased was conveyed to Mulago Referral hospital for postmortem.
